Custom Size Labels

I am wondering if there is a way to change the size of the label that prints on certain items. In some parts of our store, tons of small packages/bottles are set very close together on the shelves. When item labels are placed in front of the products, the only way to fit them all is to overlap them. This makes it very hard to read and find what you're looking for because half of the description and System ID are normally covered by this.

My question is:

Is there a way to change the sizing that labels are printed in beyond just the default sizes that are available in settings? If I could get the tags to print at about half of the size of the "Normal" setting, they'd be perfect. Whether that means shrinking the font or removing a description, I've gotta make it work. They'd have to print on the "Normal" sized stickers, but I'll take the time to trim off white space that would be left by increasing the margins or decreasing the printing area. I don't understand the coding within the label settings at all, so if there's one out there that I can just copy and paste, I'll be happy! Thanks in advance!

    Hi @SeanPPS ,

the easiest solution in this case if you only need to print on roughly half of the Normal Label would be to switch to the Small Labels which are 1.25 inches wide. The code for this label already exists.

To do this you can go to Settings>General Options and select the Printing section. You can then switch the Label Size in the drop down menu to Small - 1.25" x 1.00".

If you need a copy of the default label code you enter in the Print Templates you can click on one of the following links:

    • English (default, no custom options)
    • English (custom, options available)
