Multiple PMS Integrations

Hi,

We’ve received the developers credentials and documentation to start building the Lightspeed PMS integration with our software. One of the first things i notice is this: "The end user may only have one PMS integration active at a time."

Our PMS system is used by restaurants and hotels to manage their meeting rooms and banqueting department.

The goal of this integration is to get the receipts/tickets from Lightspeed Resto directly in our PMS onto the folio of the meeting room reservation.

Two of our customers already have an active PMS integration with their Hotel PMS.

Is there a workaround to make this work for end users with multiple PMS systems?

Thanks.

Kind regards,

    Hi Bas,

Unfortunately, there isn't any workaround for this issue. The 'Charge to Room' payment method is linked directly to the configured PMS, and we only support one PMS per account at this time.

Thats very unfortunate indeed. Can you give us any advice on how to get the receipts we need into our Meeting Room PMS when there is already a Hotel PMS integration active? Maybe by using payment method "on tab" and pulling the receipts every hour or so? Hope to hear from you.

    Thanks

Can you give us an update?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

There are several options that you could use, depending on the requirements. Using the 'Put on Tab' payment is one method, however you would need to then update the credit account of the customer once the payment has been applied to balance the credit account in Lightspeed. If it's not necessary to track the credit over a period of time for a customer, then instead of using 'Put on Tab', perhaps you could use a custom payment type and query the API on a regular basis to find receipts with that payment type.

Alternatively, you could potentially make use of the loyalty interface to apply a payment to the receipts. The loyalty interface allows you to load an external webpage in a frame, and gives that page access to methods to apply a payment to the receipt.

Let me know if you think you could make use of either of these workflows.

    Thanks,
