API question about product page

We are thinking of implementing a new app that would make the “Not in stock” experience quite different for everyone. The shop owner and the customer.

We have a technical question though.

Currently, when you are in the product page, there is a “Add to card” button. If there is no stock available, it just displays a “not in stock” message instead of the button.

I was wondering, if your api would let us alter the “not in stock” message “on page” and maybe change it to (for example) a short form with a text file and a button.

Generally, if we would be allowed to alter that portion of the product page "on page" (no iframes, no popups) and add eg. a counter or other components so that we can make the whole experience more enhanced and natural for the user.

Thank you for your time in advance.

Hi @Sakis, what you're trying to do can be achieved with javascript. You can add the script via the ShopScript endpoint or you can add it via the Back Office under Settings>Web Extras>Custom JS as outlined here.
