I'm just setting LS for our store. During test sales every time we complete a transaction and a receipt is generated it pops up the print dialog window. Can we eliminate this step, it's tedious and seems unnecessary.

while it is possible to disable the print dialogue box it depends entirely on the web browser you're using. With Firefox it's an option that can be set to "False" in the About: Config page by following these steps:
Open Firefox and type 'about:config' in the address bar and press enter. Click to confirm that you will be careful.
Right click on the page, hover over 'New' and click on 'Boolean'.
Type 'print.always_print_silent' as the preference name and click 'OK'.
Click on 'true' and click 'OK'.
With Google Chrome, however, it isn't "officially" possible. The only steps I was able to find on how it would work is on the page below and it only offers a solution for Windows Computers:

This is exactly what I came here for. Quick question, does it matter if u have more than one printer installed? Will windows force a dialog box to confirm what printer to use?

P.S. Would love to know that f it worked for the og post and if they have only one printer installed.

It does matter quite a lot. The default printer in Windows will be the one chosen to print, without exception.
To change to a different printer when this bypass is installed in your web browser is to make that printer the default printer, print, then set the original printer back as the default printer.
