Exclusions in Loyalty

Has anyone else run into the issue where products that are supposed to be excluded from earning points are still awarding points? I set up our exclusions using the category option and it seems that the function is not working. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    I actually found the solution if anyone else is having the same problem, selecting the parent category in exclusions will not also apply to the child categories, they must also be added individually.
