Hi,

I am trying to find out how to get my acces_token while following this doc:

https://ikentoo.github.io/apiDocs/oauth/

I have 2 questions:

  • where do I find my client_id
  • what am I supposed to put as a redirect_url ? Not sure to understand this part. Is that my commercial website maakyo.com or my admin backend URL ?
  • Also how can I extend my trial period to make sure i have enough time to play around with it

thanks for your support,

    Hi @chrismaakyo,

    Thank you for contacting us.

    1. To get your client_id you'll need to become a Lightspeed partner because the Resto API is a closed API. To become a partner please check https://www.lightspeedhq.com/partners/partner-application/
    2. This works similar to the Retail API OAuth process, then the redirect URL will show up with an authorization code in the address bar as a query parameter. This is the code you will use to request an access token. If you are the one actually going through the OAuth process, then you can just set the redirect URL to localhost. That way the pop-up will display and you can grab the authorization code.
    3. If you give me your businessLocationID I can extend the trial.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi @LucienVersendaal

How long does it usually take to get accepted as a Lightspeed partner?

We have filled an application more than a week ago and received no response yet.

    Hi @dennis3001,

It depends on what kind of app it is, not that we have multiple partners who built the same kind of app for example. Also, our partnerships team is very busy at the moment, so I could take longer than usual.
