Custom receipts are no longer showing amount owed from customer account

When we initially set up lightspeed, we had them add in an option to show how much a customer owes on their account if they used it to make a payment/deposit. Suddenly it no longer works anymore and is not showing up on our receipts, would anyone more code friendly be able to help me out?
