Catalog Search endpoint not working

I am not sure if the Catalog Search endpoint is working properly. I have other endpoints working in my program just fine but when I do a 'get' request using their method with the Catalog Search with items in our database it just gives me a 500 error. Any Ideas on what is going on here? Thank you
