Symbol Barcode Scanner and iPad

We are having a really hard time liking our Symbol barcode scanner when used with an iPad. It constantly disconnects and when we are trying to scan an item for a sale, it can take up to 45 seconds to wake up and reconnect before we can start the transaction. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a workaround? Lightspeed support tells me this is the best option for a scanner it use with an iPad.

    Same here...almost daily issues with battery, connectivity, etc.. I've tried all angles for support from Zebra but no solutions, simply that no other vendors are having that problem.
