Star printer issue

I added a note to an invoice and printed the receipt. The note appeared on the receipt. I went back in and made an edit to the note. Printed it and it didn't update. After an hour passed printed it again and the change updated. Any clues why this would happen? Is there an issue with the Lightspeed Hub and star printer? It updates fine in the software ...
