Is there a way to tag and employees name somewhere to indicate who picked the order? I suppose we could use comments but it would be nice to have a stand alone field for this....

When one of your employees marks the order as picked up, eCom creates a shipping event. This event includes the date, time, and name of the user that marked the order as shipped or picked up. Therefore there isn't a need for an additional field for this. Example:
If your users share the same user ID for eCom you can create individual accounts for each or use the order notes method.
