Feature Request-Breaking down box for singles

Need to be able to break down a box or an assembly and be able to sell them as an individual item at a different price under a different sku number.

Majority of my smaller packages come in 4-8 count pack units and I have many customers requesting to sell them in singles but it has quickly become an inventory nightmare to keep track of them that way, where as if it was set up as the base unit of "X" amount and for "X" price under "X" sku or I could hit a drop down menu for singles instead of the bulk item

I'm curious to know if you've tried creating Box items within Retail by selecting the type drop down to the right of the description.

Is there something about this feature you were hoping to have changed or have tried and wanted something different out of it?
