Inventory Count

There needs to be a MUCH faster option to put in inventory counts on Matrix. All of the inventory needs to be on one page. Clicking a button 2 times just to put in one size is WAY too time consuming. We need to able to put in all counts on one page with one click.

Example:

Small__2__ Medium3__Large__1

    Hey @FancyPants

The fastest way to add all of a matrix at the same time would be to follow these steps:

Open your Inventory count and click on the +Count Item without having added anything in the search field (this will open a full item search)

Once in the item search, perform the search for the generic Matrix Parent name and have all the options appear.

You can then check off each individual item, or all the items by clicking the checkbox to the left of the +Add Selected button.

This can add upwards to 100 items at a time to your count!

    Hope this helps!

I have been trying to figure out the same thing. This suggestion is getting closer to solving the Inventory count, however, there should be a function in the Inventory count process where you can select a Vendor or department or even Item and simply start scanning your current Inventory then add everything you scanned for a more accurate Inventory count (Reconcile).

    Please resolve

Maybe I don't fully understand how you are doing your count, but you can scan the small and enter a quantity of 2 then scan the the medium and enter a quantity of 3. No clicks to a different page just enter the quantity in the search or quantity field. Does not work if your products are not labelled or do not have a upc code on them that you can scan.

    Hey @GregYarema

For specific workflow assistance, if the articles on Doing an inventory Count and Doing Inventory Counts with Negative inventory don't answer your question, you can always contact our support team and we can clarify it with you.

However, when scanning in products within an inventory count, there's 3 main options and behaviours the software takes on:

    1) Scanning-in a label (printed by Lightspeed with the system ID as the barcode) using a scanner:

This will always add the product to your count with a quantity of 1. If you scan-in the product multiple times, multiple lines will appear with a quantity of 1.

Eventually, when you finish scanning in all your products, you can go to your Totals tab and each line with a quantity of 1 will be rassembled into 1 line with a quantity of X.

    2) Scanning-in a label (printed by an old POS with a UPC as the barcode) using a scanner:

If only 1 result match is found for the code that was scanned in, it will automatically be added to your count, however, if than 1 result is available (duplicated item, duplicate UPC etc), you'll be redirected to a search box where you can check off all items related to your search you want to add to the count.

    3) Manually searching for a product:

The same rules apply when adding products being manually searched, except instead of scanning-in the label, you can type in an identifying keyword/code (it can be part of the product description, a manufacturer SKU etc.)

If only 1 result is available, it will automatically be added to your count, however, if than 1 result is available, you'll be redirected to a search box where you can check off all items related to your search you want to add to the count.

    Hope this helps!
