Credit card chip reading

We've noticed that credit card chip reader is incredibly fast on customer-facing terminal (Verifone P400) using Lightspeed Payments. It tells customer to remove card but then processes on our screen for what seems like 10 seconds. Meanwhile the customer thinks the transaction has processed and is trying to walk away and we have to let them know it's still processing and then print their receipt. Is there a way for that wait time to be while their card is inserted so they do not think it's done? Thanks.

    Hey @escapist

    This is expected as the payment can take upwards to 30 seconds (depending on the stability of the connection etc) to transact before being approved, however it is not necessary for the card to be inserted in the machine.
