Remove cost price visibility [feature request..?]

Hello,
We currently run into a problem where employees have to edit custom fields of a product, but for this to be possible we have to activate a setting that reveals the cost price. Can these be seperated? A warehouse worker needs to be able to edit these fields, but not see the cost price. That is only for the sales department.
Is it possible to add a new setting or change a current settings in employee permissions?
