How can I update the status of a special order to "Ready for Pickup"?

Our business is very dependent on special orders, but Lightspeed has no special order fulfillment, so I am creating our own system. I have all the item data and special order data, but it doesn't look like there's a way to "complete" a Special Order through the API. Any advice is appreciated.

Someone would need to manually interface with the application in Lightspeed at that point if you would complete the order.
