How can I update the status of a special order to "Ready for Pickup"?

Our business is very dependent on special orders, but Lightspeed has no special order fulfillment, so I am creating our own system.  I have all the item data and special order data, but it doesn't look like there's a way to "complete" a Special Order through the API.  Any advice is appreciated.

    This is really unfortunate, considering how ineffective the Lightspeed Special Order system is.

    We are looking to potentially utilize the LS Retail special order function in the near future. For now we are just using a separate ERP package, specifically Microsoft Dynamics GP. Out of curiosity, @Wynner, when you mention that LS Retail doesn't support special order fulfillment, exactly what is the gap? It doesn't port the special order into a PO, the received special order isn't pushing into inventory, etc.?
