Hello,
I am also trying to register a new API client with the Google App Script Redirect URI:
and getting the Error:
Error: Invalid URL: URL provided contains reserved Lightspeed trademarks or search engines.
Is there a work around for this or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you,
Hi,
This is because 'google' is in the URL. Can you send me your clientID and complete redirectURL so I can update it for you.
Hi ,
I am currently having the same issue, trying to register a new API client with the
Google App Script Redirect URI
. @Ali_Masoumie you mentioned above that you would need myclientID
but I don't have one since I was initially unable to register for the API using the Google App Script Redirect URI. Any help would be apricated.Thank you
You'd think a truer solution would be for Lightspeed to change their Redirect URI rules as a more global fix. Google is a heck of a lot more than just a "search engine" since around the early 2010's. That would be like Amazon being considered just a "storefront."
Hi @gregarican,
You're totally right here, I'm going to file this for our devs, so they can fix this.
Hey @LucienVersendaal - I'm glad you guys are going to be working on a permanent solution. I imagine it will take sometime to rollout, in the meantime would someone be able to assist me in registering for the API?
Thank you
Hi @dovidstern,
Thanks.
You can go to https://developers.lightspeedhq.com/retail/authentication/authentication-overview/ and follow the steps to register your client.
Hi @LucienVersendaal - The issue I am having is that I am trying to register an API client with the Google App Script Redirect URI. And since the redirect URI contains 'google' I am getting the Error:
Invalid URL: URL provided contains reserved Lightspeed trademarks or search engines.
Would you be a able to update my API with the Google App Script Redirect URI?
Hi @dovidstern,
